We assist thousands of women with workplace issues every year and are a safe place for women to come to for support. But we are facing a funding Crisis.

Currently, the NT Working Women’s Centre is at risk of closure and Working Women Queensland does not receive enough funding to operate fully.

If we can show governments how Working Women’s Centres make a difference in the lives of women, we can build enough political pressure for Working Women’s Centres to be fully funded around the country.

Help us do this by telling us how the Working Women’s Centre helped you.

Did the Working Women’s Centre help you with a work-related issue? Tell us what our service means to you!

We assist thousands of women with workplace issues every year and are a safe place for women to come to for support. But we are facing a funding crisis.

We need your help to persuade the federal government to provide funding security for Working Women’s Centres around the country.

A key recommendation of the Respect@Work report – Recommendation 49 – was to fund Working Women’s Centres in every Australian state and territory. This is because our world-leading model is proven.

Working Women’s Centres allow women to access free information and advice from specialist services when they experience sexual harassment and other issues at work. We provide an essential service to women in rural, regional and metropolitan areas across the Northern Territory, South Australia and Queensland. All 3 Centres receive funding from their state governments.

The Working Women’s Centre SA is the only Centre with secure and adequate funding and the only Centre with ongoing federal funding.

In WA, NSW, Victoria, the ACT and Tasmania, women don’t have access to a service like ours at all. We have a vision for our free, specialist women’s services to be available around the country for when women need us.

Tell us why the Working Women’s Centre is important to you to help us win this campaign.

The Ask: Call for help – If you have been helped by a Working Womens Centre please tell us how we helped you and the difference it made.

Please do not include any information that may identify you or your employer in your testimonial; your privacy is important to us. If you choose to submit your name or email address to us this will be kept confidential.
